Independence is home to 14,000+ students across 30 schools served by the Independence School District (ISD). From supporting students in foster care to meeting individualized requirements for students with additional needs, ISD manages complex transportation responsibilities under real budget pressure.
EverDriven’s Alternative School Transportation services supplement existing systems with a focus on safety, consistency, and accountability, helping Independence districts maintain dependable access to school while reducing strain on internal resources.
If your child needs help getting to school safely and reliably, your school or district may partner with EverDriven to provide transportation. EverDriven supports students whose needs fall outside traditional bus routes. This can include students with IEPs, students attending specialized programs, students in foster care, or students experiencing housing instability.

Getting students to school in Independence presents unique transportation challenges.
