Prescott’s schools serve students with a variety of needs. More than one in ten K–12 students require special education services, and thousands more are experiencing homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act or living in foster care. For many students, a traditional school bus isn’t an option—whether because of IEP requirements, health concerns, behavioral supports, or because they live outside the main district routes in areas like Williamson Valley or along Iron Springs Road.
